Curt C. Barwick is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Barwick Corporate Law.
Prior to launching Barwick Corporate Law in 2023, Mr. Barwick was a partner of McConnell Barwick LLP, a boutique corporate, business and transactional firm located in Irvine, California where he practiced for nearly three decades. Prior thereto, Mr. Barwick was General Counsel of DVI Inc., a New York Stock Exchange-listed company. Earlier, he served as a member of the corporate/securities department with the Newport Beach office of Buchalter, Nemer, Fields & Younger and the Los Angeles office of another prominent Southern California firm. Mr. Barwick is the former Co-Chair of the Corporations Committee and Vice Chair of Legislation of the Executive Committee of the Business Law Section of the California State Bar.
Practice Areas
Mr. Barwick’s practice areas include all aspects of business and transactional law, including mergers & acquisitions (M&A), corporate finance, venture capital, private equity, technology licensing and general business law. With special expertise in M&A, he has represented both financial and strategic buyers and sellers in a wide range of transactions across industry groups. Mr. Barwick also acts as outside general counsel for many of his clients, which range in size from start-ups to companies with annual revenue in excess of $100 million.

Mr. Barwick has been consistently recognized as one of the leading corporate attorneys in Southern California. Education:
Mr. Barwick graduated with honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1976, and from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a Master of Arts degree in 1977. He was awarded his Juris Doctor from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (Hastings) in 1983.

Mr. Barwick was admitted to the California Bar in 1983 and the District of Columbia Bar in 1985.
Memberships:
Mr. Barwick is the past Chairman and a current member of the Orange County Bar Association’s Business and Corporate Law and Financial Practice Sections. He also is a member of the American Bar Association (Business Law Section and the Federal and State (“Blue Sky”) Securities and Private Equity – Venture Capital subcommittees).
